Simmie King

Simmie Lee King, age 83, of Vero Beach, Florida, finished his race here on earth April 9, 2026. He was born May 27, 1943 to the parentage of Robert King and Ella Johnson in Alamo, Georgia. He passed away after a full life and a short illness at his daughter’s home in Waycross, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norman King and Robert Lee King Jr.; sisters, Maeretha Tomlin, Daisy Owens, Pearlene Parker and a daughter, Tameka Tucker.

He is survived by his wife, Mary King of Metter, GA.; his four sons, Simmie Bernard King, Victor Komack and Timothy Dwayne King, all of Waycross, GA and Alfred Clements of Jesup, GA; three daughters, Leila Annette (Jeff), Daisy Delores Wilson (Cetrick) and Sharon Tenisa Johnson (Charles).

He leaves three brothers, Leon King and James King, both of Vero Beach, FL and Billy Ray King of Douglasville, GA; five sisters, Evelyn Parker and Ida Dawson, both of Waycross, GA, Carolyn Ross ( Robert), Dorothy Ervin (Ollice), and Mary King all of Vero Beach, FL; one sister-in-law, Essie Owens of Waycross, GA; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two special friends, AD Brown and Elder Roger Williams and host of nieces, nephews and friends.
