Phyllis Carter Whitmore

Phyllis Whitmore was born July 18, 1955, to the late Horace Hill and Cora B. Parrish. Phyllis, 71, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 29, 2026. She attended Appling County Schools and graduated with the Class of 1973. She was a prayer warrior for anyone that needed prayer. A loving auntie and nana to many!

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Michael Whitmore; her children, Pamela Fedrick, Tammy Hill, Travis (Mabell) Carter, Ricky Carter Sr. all of Baxley; Michael Whitmore Jr. of Portland, Oregon and Myesha Whitmore, of Bakersfield, CA; brothers, Aaron (Angela) Hill, Jacksonville, FL; Johnnie Bennett, Baxley, GA, George (Pauline) Bennett, Jesup, GA; Wayne Bennett, Killeen, TX; sisters, Rutha (Oliver) Hall and Lola Kaye Wynn, both of Baxley, GA; Deloris Coley, Lawrenceville, GA; Doris (Reginald) Tyson and Savilla Hill, of Brunswick, GA; 10 grandchildren, Alexis Robinson, Denzel Hill, Destinee Carter, Ricky Carter Jr., Colby Smith, Serenity Carter, Trevyous (Mia) Chandler, Jaylon Smith, Jada Fedrick, Braxten Carter; 7 great grandchildren, Ricky Carter III, A’zaiah Hill, Serenity Jade Kelsey, Denzel Hill Jr, Ryder Carter, Tyrune Kelsey Jr, Kylo Carter; a goddaughter, Joyce (Jet) Williams of Baxley, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
