Angela “Gail” Jones-Thomas departed this life on May 30, 2026 to rest from her labor and dwell in the arms of God. Angela was born on August 22, 1958, to the late K. C. Jones and Gearldine Jones in Appling County, Georgia
Angela was an active member of United Faith Outreach Church in Baxley, Georgia, under the leadership of her son-in-law, Pastor Moses Eason, Sr. Her dedication to the church was demonstrated through her service as a church Mother, Deaconess, and Usher. Angela consistently assisted at the door alongside her husband, welcoming attendees into the service with a smile. She loved to praise God, and you would often find her exalting the name of the Lord with the praise team.
Angela was employed at Interfor in Baxley for more than ten years. She valued time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Nuknuk.” Angela was recognized for her commitment as a wife, mother, grandmother, church member, and colleague. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Robert Thomas.
