Mr. Jimmy Lee Norman passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, Georgia. He was born May 27, 1950 to the late James Kennedy and Esther Norman in Abbeville, South Carolina. Jimmy received his education in the Abbeville School System.
He served in the National Guard for many years. He was also employed at J. M. Miles Construction Company in Baxley until his health began to decline.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Norman; siblings, Catherine Burton, Andrew Norman, and James Kennedy; grandson, Malik Green.
Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory: Devoted Friend: Latricia Faye Brady of Baxley, GA; His Daughters: Christa Diashelle Tillman of Baxley, GA and Pam Quarles of Greenwood, SC;
His Sons: Anthony Norman of Abbeville, SC, Jimmy Norman, Jr., Christopher Norman, both of Baxley, GA, and Charles Jackson of Brunswick, GA;
Devoted Sister: Lizzie Mae Sailem of Baxley, GA; Brother-in-law: Charles Burton of Atlanta, GA; Godchildren: Wesley Fountain, Shemeika Byrd and Danille Sharp; Special Niece: Sebrina Allen.
He also leaves to cherish his memory eleven grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special friends ~ Moses and Redd, a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me ... all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. "I am tired, so let me rest. I go to life and not to death; I go from sickness and pain, and bid a crying, suffering world Goodbye."
Memorial Service for Mr. Jimmy Lee Norman will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Per Mr. Norman's wishes he has been cremated.
Service will be held at the Christ Community Church located at 1585 Hatch Parkway North, Baxley - 2:00 P.M.
FAMILY WILL ASSEMBLE AT 221 KENNY LANE, APT. 11 AT 1:30 PM ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
